I PUT MY HAND IN YOUR HAND

I thank God for the gift of recovery.  Truth is there is much dysfunction in the world and we are all recovering from something.  Tonight was a very emotional share group.  After reading a story we all began to share how we identified with the behaviors and circumstances.  We are more alike than we are different.  I love my recovery family.  There's nothing better than a group of people who see you at your worst and still except you because you've accepted them at there worst. We leave the judging to God.  We are all transparent with nothing to hide and we are all learning to have healthy relationships.

James 5.16 says, 'Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  No need to wallow in past failures.  We can glance in the rear view mirror every once in a while just don't stare or the road ahead will be out of view, and we know what happens when you text and drive :)

"I put my hand in yours, and together we can do what we could never do alone. No longer is there a sense of hopelessness, no longer must we each depend upon our own unsteady willpower. We are all together now, reaching out our hands for power and strength greater than ours, and as we join hands, we find love and understanding beyond our wildest dreams."

This is an affirmation we close our meetings with.  Man was not meant to be alone and when we fall it's easier if there's another to lift him/her up.

STAY IN THE WORD
STAY BLESSED
STAY
